What Is Creative Bridges?

The fourth Creative Bridges conference will be taking place online in 2023.

But what is Creative Bridges?

Creative Bridges is a two-day online conference, hosted by Lapidus International. This conference has been running since 2017, moving online in 2021 during the pandemic.

The aim of Creative Bridges is to showcase relevant international research and practice in the rapidly growing field of writing for wellbeing. We also want to find inspiring and robust ways to bring writing for wellbeing research and practice to our diverse communities across the globe.

Over the weekend, delegates will have the opportunity to attend presentations which bring together theory and practice of writing for wellbeing, to take part in experiential workshops which provide a more hands-on approach, and to join in with panels which discuss key aspects of the field today.

Who is Creative Bridges for?

If you have an interest in writing for wellbeing, or creative writing for therapeutic purposes, then this is the conference for you. Do you use words to support positive mental health? Do you use words to explore professional and personal development? Do you use words/writing to explore social issues/social action? Are you interested in learning more, and perhaps including writing for wellbeing in your personal or professional life? Then this conference is for you!

Creative Bridges attracts a diverse range of international researchers, practitioners and participants from various disciplines. At past events, we have had writers, storytellers, artists, yoga instructors, counsellors, psychotherapists, nurses, teachers, psycho-geographers, sociologists and more.
